In 2017, Ennio Morricone played in Switzerland for the last time and thrilled the sold-out Hallenstadion. Now his son Andrea Morricone comes to Zurich for another musical highlight as part of the tour ENNIO MORRICONE - "THE OFFICIAL CONCERT CELEBRATION".


ENNIO MORRICONE - "THE OFFICIAL CONCERT CELEBRATION" is an impressive, unique arena tour that was personally curated by the master of film music during his lifetime. It will now be realized and conducted by his son Andrea Morricone in 2022. In addition to the great music, iconic film scenes as well as previously unreleased footage of the maestro will be on display.

Shortly after the late musician's birthday, the time has come to celebrate the world's greatest film composer with an unforgettable concert experience. Immediately after his retirement from the stage in 2019, Ennio Morricone began work on a new concert production, ENNIO MORRICONE - "THE OFFICIAL CONCERT CELEBRATION." By mid-2020, the artist had still completed the draft for this new production. Together with the "Czech National Symphony Orchestra" and a choir, his son Andrea Morricone will accompany the production.

On July 6, 2020, Ennio Morricone passed away at the age of 91. Oscar winner Ennio Morricone composed music for over 500 films during his career. To this day, he is considered one of the most important composers in film history and has composed title melodies for cult films such as "Play Me the Song of Death," "For a Few Dollars More," "Cinema Paradiso" and "Kill Bill," among others. Between the years 2014 and 2019 alone, he played 111 concerts in Europe in front of more than 800,000 spectators:inside.

His son Andrea Morricone says about the new show: "This is bound to be a bittersweet experience: I of course miss my father greatly, but to be able to honor him by conducting a full symphony orchestra and choir playing his phenomenal music will be a great and deeply emotional experience and I hugely look forward to celebrating him with his fans around the World".
