Art highlight in Zurich: Matthew Wong and Vincent van Gogh exhibition
From 20 September 2024 to 26 January 2025, the Kunsthaus Zürich is presenting an extraordinary exhibition that highlights the fascinating parallels between the Chinese-Canadian painter Matthew Wong and the world-famous Vincent van Gogh.
Experience 40 large-format landscapes and interiors by Matthew Wong, which are being shown in Switzerland for the first time, complemented by selected masterpieces by Van Gogh. Both artists are characterised by a deeply emotional visual language that makes their inner worlds impressively visible.
The exhibition invites visitors to discover the idiosyncrasies and similarities between the two painters. Visual axes between the works allow an exciting comparison of the colourful pictorial worlds without losing sight of the artists' uniqueness.
Curated in collaboration with the Van Gogh Museum Amsterdam and supported by renowned foundations, this exhibition is an absolute must for art lovers.
